Direct rate evidence
How Trippchain verifies direct rates
Trippchain shows a direct rate only when a source-backed property signal exists. If no verified direct-rate evidence exists, the product says “Direct rate not yet verified” instead of inventing a price or savings claim.
Allowed sources
Direct rates must come from operator-controlled evidence
- Schema.org
Offerdata observed on the official property website. - Owner-connected booking engines or PMS channels when the owner authorizes them.
- Owner-confirmed direct-rate evidence that includes timestamp, currency, and source URL.
Rejection rules
Missing or stale evidence stays absent
- Expired offers are filtered out rather than displayed.
- Unavailable or malformed offers do not become fallback prices.
- OTA savings are not inferred from missing benchmarks or synthetic averages.
- Paid OTA price calls are not part of the production evidence path.
Public copy
Fallback language must be specific
Rate evidence and review evidence are separate. A missing price uses “Direct rate not yet verified.” A missing review score uses “Rating not yet verified.” This keeps public pages and AI responses citation-grade rather than implying unverified value.
